What you will Learn
Listening
Understanding academic lectures and natural speech, summarising spoken content accurately, identifying key information under time pressure, and performing on typing-intensive task types like Write from Dictation and Fill in the Blanks. Eight listening task types covered across the section.
Reading
Contextual grammar and vocabulary in fill-in-the-blank formats, identifying logical flow in dense academic text through Re-order Paragraphs, scanning passages for specific detail, and managing time across five reading task types. Integrated with Writing in shared tasks.
Writing
Summarising dense passages in a single correct sentence, constructing argued 200 to 300 word essays within strict word limits, building grammar range and vocabulary precision, and mastering the formal structure PTE’s automated scoring rewards.
Speaking
Training for machine-scored speaking tasks including Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, and Re-tell Lecture. Focused work on pronunciation, oral fluency, and content coverage, the three traits PTE’s automated scoring system assesses across every response.
